The children and youth choir of the Hamburg State Opera

Children choir (from 6 years)

As gingerbread children, street children or elves, the children's choir shares the stage of the Hamburg State Opera together with the professionals. In addition to regular repertoire rehearsals, the children are prepared for their musical and performing engagements with language coaching, scenic training and solo voice training. Have you always wanted to sing along and slip into exciting roles? Come to an audition!

Youth choir (from 15 – 25 years)

The children's choir is followed by the youth choir! The repertoire ranges from a cappella works to pop arrangements, from medieval to contemporary music. Rehearsals are held weekly at the opera house, at joint rehearsal weekends and choir tours.

Collaborations with the Philharmonic State Orchestra and pieces produced especially for the youth choir, which will be performed at opera stabile, are in the planning stages.

Children and young people who enjoy singing, scenic expression and working together are invited to vistit an audition and take a look! If the audition is successful, they can immediately start rehearsing and sing along. The dates will be announced here on the website, individual auditions are also possible by appointment.
