Virginia „Aura“ Lewerissa

Virginia “Aura” Lewerissa is a Hamburg-based creative artist, krump dancer, art director with roots in Maluku, Indonesia.

She began with traditional Indonesian dance and went on to become a defining figure in the global Krump scene. A two-time world champion, she is regarded as one of the most influential, inspiring Krumpers worldwide. For over 14 years, she has captivated audiences with her powerful movement and honest, emotional presence-both on stage and in battles. In 2023, she premiered her autobiographical solo AIR BERSIH at Probebühne Eins at K3, Kampnagel in Hamburg exploring identity and the experience of embracing two cultures and had her second solo CORE also at K3 exploring the themes loneliness, exclusion and the search of belonging.
