Franziska Seibold studied at the Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy Academy of Music and Theatre (Leipzig) with Jitka Kovarikova. Her studies, which she completed with distinction, were followed by postgraduate studies in 2002. She was a member of the Opera Studio of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein and a scholarship holder of the Richard Wagner Association for the Bayreuth Festival. She also attended master classes with Elisabeth Schwarzkopf, Hartmut Höll and Mitsuko Shirai, Graham Johnson, Konrad Richter and Horst Günther.
Franziska Seibold has performed in opera productions in Altenburg-Gera and at the Rheinsberg Castle Theater, as well as at the Putbus Festival (Rügen) and the Tyrolean Festival. In February 2006 she sang Despina in Mozart's opera "Così fan tutte" at the Hamburg Chamber Opera. She regularly gives recitals in Germany and abroad. Since this season she is a member of the opera choir of the Hamburg State Opera.
