Lennart Hansen

Lennart Hansen was born in Wiesbaden in 2004 and started learning the bassoon at the age of 5 at the local music school with Amrei Liebold. From 2016-2021 he had lessons with Professor Tobias Pelkner in Detmold, and since 2021 he has been studying with Professor Ulrich Hermann at the Cologne University of Music and Dance.
From 2015-2019 he was a member of the Chamber Music Center NRW. During this time, he won several prizes in the state and national Jugend musiziert competitions in the chamber music category, as well as a first national prize in the solo category.
His chamber music teachers include Prof. André Sebald, Prof. Anthony Spiri and Prof. José Luis Estellés-Dasi. He has been a regular member of various chamber music ensembles since his youth and is currently a bassoonist in the Aventurin Quintet in Cologne.
Lennart Hansen has been a member of various youth orchestras since the age of ten, including the LJO NRW, the Junge Oper Baden-Württemberg and the Western Balkans Youth Orchestra. He also gained orchestral experience as a substitute with the Lower Rhine Symphony Orchestra Krefeld Mönchengladbach, the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra and the Württemberg Chamber Orchestra Heilbronn. Lennart Hansen found inspiration in master classes with Prof. Tobias Pelkner, Prof. Eckart Hübner, Prof. Ulrich Hermann and Prof. Theo Plath. He has been an academy member of the Hamburg Philharmonic State Orchestra since February 2025.
