Sonja Lachenmayr studied the bachelor's degree in jazz singing at the Nuremberg University of Music, teaching music at high schools and the bachelor's and master's degree in choral conducting at the Munich University of Music and Theater. She began her musical career at the age of five with the instruments harp, piano, flute and later trombone. Internships, concert and performance experiences with and with various ensembles, orchestras and choirs, as well as concert tours within Europe, to the USA, Oman, Egypt and Tanzania, shaped her into a multi-faceted musician.
Since 2016 she has led the renowned concert choir Gospels at Heaven. In 2021 Lachenmayr founded the sustainable orchestra New World Orchestra. In the same year she was accepted into the Conducting Forum. At the beginning of 2022, Lachenmayr completed his master's degree in orchestral conducting. In fall 2020, Lachenmayr became an assistant at the Audi Youth Choir Academy.
